Data Wall- Staff Training Resources

Posted by on Tuesday, 18 July, 2017

The SUSD Data Wall is designed to be your source for instructional and school data as you work with your networked improvement committees to impact student learning.

As school leaders plan on how to introduce the SUSD Data Wall resources to your instructional staff, remember to consider the following questions…

    • When to present to staff?
    • Who is your audience?
    • Which resources you will  provide?
    • Where do folks go with questions?
    • How should your audience use this information to improve instructional decisions?
    • What new questions arise?

Please feel free to make a copy of the Data Wall for Teachers presentation template below as you plan for the roll-out of this information to your staff.  The print-out for the guided notes page (used first with slide three of the presentation) is linked here.

In order to maximize the effectiveness of the data wall for the purpose of collaboration, we ask that you try to have your introduction to staff completed prior to your teachers’ content collaboration in September 2017.

Thanks and as always, if you have any questions regarding the data wall, please feel free to reach out.

2016-17 AzMERIT Data is Here!

Posted by on Monday, 17 July, 2017

The Arizona Department of Education has now officially unencumbered its AzMERIT assessment data from the 2016-17 school year and these results can now be viewed within your SUSD Data Wall (linked here).

There are currently TWO ways to get a look at your student’s results from the AzMERIT exam.  First, you can check out ELA & Math performance overviews within your KPI Tiles (linked here)

These views provide you with an overview of what percentage of students have attained proficiency, both at the district and site specific levels.

By clicking on the Deep Dives option within the lower-left corner of the page, you can also view more detailed reports which highlight specific performance band results at both the district and sight level as well as breakdowns of individual test performance at for all schools.
